How to measure your garment
Compare the listing measurements with a similar garment that fits you well, not directly with body measurements. This accounts for the cut, material thickness and the amount of ease you prefer.
Before you start
- 1Close all zips and buttons, then straighten the collar and cuffs.
- 2Lay the garment face up on a flat surface and smooth out any folds.
- 3Do not stretch the fabric. Keep the measuring tape flat and relaxed.
- 4Take every measurement twice and allow for a small variation caused by shape and material.
↔Horizontal lines show the width of a garment laid flat, not a body circumference. Multiply the width by two for an approximate garment circumference.
